How do you feel about a day at the beach? Well, I can say I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I absolutely hate wet sand between my toes, and I can never sit in the sun for very long, yet, on the other hand, there is so much for me to enjoy. For instance, the feeling of the surge tugging at me in the shallow water, the sensation of a sea breeze caressing my hair, and the freedom I experience while swimming under water. I especially love the latter, and take great pleasure in ‘floating in my own weightless, timeless world’.
Be honest, when was the last time you cried? Or does this question make you feel uncomfortable? OK, shall I go first then? I cry at least once a week, usually more though.

"I’m not really that into language," I once said in a writer’s café. Those present looked at me in astonishment: A writer who isn’t involved in language, that’s unthinkable, isn’t it? However, that is the case with me.

This will ring a bell. Once again you’re at the supermarket doing your weekly shopping. And as always you have little time. Luckily, each article on your list...whether it’s a sack of potatoes, a bottle of wine or a pack of washing powder...won’t take much deciding. You’re a rational human being and you make your decisions consciously.
